Pharmacy assistants are encouraged to self-nominate for Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award 2023

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia (PGA) is reminding pharmacy assistants to share their unique qualities and contribution to the community and self-nominate for the 2023 Pharmacy Guild of Australia/Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award (PATY), which closes on Monday 15 May.

PATY is the premier award for pharmacy assistants, recognising and celebrating the best of the best in Australian community pharmacy for their leadership, innovation, and community service. Pharmacy assistants have until 5pm AEST Monday 15 May to self-nominate, or respond to their nomination, by completing the online form at pharmacyassistants.com/paty/.

PATY2022 Winner Terri Bakker said that PATY had given her more confidence in her career as a pharmacy assistant, to further pursue different elements within community pharmacy.

The PATY2023 Winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize as well as flights, travel and accommodation packages to attend APP2024 and PA Conferences in 2023 and 2024 to support their career and gain professional development as a pharmacy assistant.

State finalists will be notified in June, prior to virtual state workshops on 12-23 June this year.
