Who will be crowned 2023 PATY National Winner?

There’s only one week left until the Pharmacy Assistant National Conference to be held at the Hyatt Regency Sydney from 31 August to 2 September, and excitement is building around the crowning of this year’s 2023 PATY National Winner.

Eight Pharmacy Guild of Australia/Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year (PATY) state and territory winners will compete at next week’s judging day ahead of the conference for the prestigious title.

The 2023 PATY National Winner will be announced at the PA Conference.

The national winner of this year’s award will receive a $5000 cash prize as well as flights, travel and accommodation packages to attend Guild conferences to support their career and professional development.

Award judge, 2018 PATY Award national winner and Pharmacy Guild trainer, Alice Vanderpol says she’s looking forward to selecting this year’s winner.

“This year’s state and territory winners have demonstrated a strong commitment to their work and to the industry, and that is what this award is all about.

“Every year the bar is raised in terms of the passion and commitment displayed and choosing just one winner is always an extremely difficult task. I can’t wait to see who will be crowned the 2023 Pharmacy Assistant of the Year,” says Ms Vanderpol.

Competing for this year’s award are the following pharmacy assistants:

  • ACT Anneliese Hoff, Discount Drug Stores Tuggeranong
  • NT Bridget Honner, Blooms the Chemist Bakewell
  • NSW Morgan Burnside – Priceline Pharmacy Beecroft
  • QLD Colby Diek, Craignish Pharmacy

Conference delegates will have the chance to meet with and learn from the experiences of the state and territory winners during the event’s social functions and at a dedicated session on Friday afternoon before the winner is announced at the Cocktail Party on Friday evening.
