The fourth annual Pharmacy Connect will be held from September 5-7, 2019 at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney.
Hosted by the Pharmacy Guild New South Wales branch, Pharmacy Connect 2019 aims to feature a comprehensive three-day program including education, pre-conference workshops focusing on harm minimisation and the 7CPA, plus sessions on the latest industry developments, clinical updates, business growth, profitability and management topics.
The Guild’s New South Wales branch President David Heffernan announced this year’s Pharmacy Connect conference will feature prominent international pharmacy leader Dr Ross Tsuyuki from the University of Alberta in Canada. Dr Tsuyuki will be speaking on the importance of patient-centred care.
“Dr Tsuyuki is a strong advocate for pharmacists focusing exclusively on patient-centred care, with a mission to change both the way pharmacists practise and the way pharmacy is perceived,” Mr Heffernan said.
During the event, Pharmacy Connect delegates will have access to networking opportunities with peers, industry leaders and suppliers as well as a 50-plus stand trade exhibition which will be open on Friday, September 6 and Saturday, September 7.
Pharmacy Connect is open to all levels of pharmacy, from pharmacists, pharmacy managers, pharmacy staff and group executives, to interns and students.
