Amcal and Medibank announce new flu vax program

Following a successful pilot in 2021, Medibank has announced the return of its free flu vaccination program for all Medibank Live Better members, now at participating Amcal pharmacies.

This year’s flu vaccination program enables eligible Medibank customers to download a free flu vaccination voucher from Medibank’s Live Better Rewards store, which can then be redeemed at Amcal’s national network of participating pharmacies.

Amcal is anticipating that thousands of Australians will take advantage of the offer over the coming months.

Kurt O’Brien, Head of Amcal, says the partnership further demonstrates Amcal’s commitment to being one of the ultimate healthcare destinations for Australians.

“Amcal is the country’s leading, and longest-serving, pharmacy destination for healthcare advice, delivering tailored services to meet the needs of Australians, when and where they need them,” Mr O’Brien said.

“To maintain this benchmark of quality health advice, we work with like-minded partners, such as Medibank, who are equally committed to evolving the standard and accessibility of healthcare for all.

“For our franchise partners, this program delivers unmatched value through providing enhanced avenues of customer traffic, and ultimately, greater support to nurture in-store customer relationships, during flu season and beyond.

“Pleasingly, we have already seen a high volume of Australians eager to take part in this program, with thousands of combined site visits and voucher downloads in less than two weeks,” Mr O’Brien said.

Speaking about the initiative, Medibank Group Executive, Customer Portfolios, Milosh Milisavljevic says it’s “another way Medibank is delivering value to their members and helping with their everyday health and wellbeing”.

“Through our partnership with Amcal, we look forward to offering more ways to reward our members for living better and being proactive about their health,” Mr Milisavljevic said.

The newly announced program follows Amcal’s recently launched Vaccination Destination offering, which brings its suite of other vaccinations, including Covid-19, travel, family, and others, into one, convenient patient-centred solution.
