Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is the commitment of companies to contribute to sustainable development, stakeholder interests, and enhancement of societal conditions.[1] Organisations are increasingly allocating budget and resources towards CSR activities as it is a crucial element of dialogue between a corporation and its consumers.

Anna Sheppard, Founder of the Bambuddha Group, believes in a future where every leader and organisation is committed to creating a sustainable world of equity and opportunity for all. Ms Sheppard will be working with the Blooms The Chemist pharmacy network over the next year to further develop our CSR initiatives.

We are delighted to be working with an incredible organisation such as Bambuddha Group. Our intention is to learn to lead with more kindness as it is known that doing so makes you more profitable, improves brand reputation and is a vital part of business sustainability.

Bambuddha Group is a member-based leadership development community for business owners and leaders who are dedicated to Working Hard (Bam) and Working Kind (Buddha).

Launching in 2017, Bambuddha quickly rose to become one of the most progressive leadership organisations in Australia. The organisation has built the foundations of the only kindness-focussed business community through providing leadership training, coaching, results-base, data-driven evaluation and collaboration networks.

Blooms The Chemist has established a dedicated and impact-focused CSR committee that will be accelerating its Corporate Social Responsibility and Impact Plans through the implementation of a five-stage ‘Good for Business’ program throughout 2021.

Currently at Blooms The Chemist, we strive to serve the needs of local communities by providing essential health and wellness services and advice through our pharmacy network of over 100 locations Australia-wide. With the support of our charity partner, Make-A-Wish Australia, together, we have a strong intention of putting people first. We do this through forging meaningful connections with our customers and investing in our staff to ensure they are empowered and engaged.

We are purposeful in our endeavour to make a difference, inspiring change and having a positive impact amongst communities across Australia. Our latest partnership with Bambuddha Group is a fantastic opportunity to further develop and implement our corporate social responsibility strategies. We are the first retail pharmacy group to undertake this program and hope that the partnership signifies our commitment to our people, our community and our stakeholders.
