Australian eyewear brand CARVE has entered the safety eyewear category, launching a range redesigned to meet workplace compliance standards while retaining the brand’s lifestyle aesthetic.
Designed for everyday trade environments, the new safety eyewear range is said to combine “compliant eye protection with the style and comfort worn” outside of work.
The range includes four styles — Volley, Vendetta, Smoko and Chippy — with the RRP between $39.99 to $79.99.
Each style is said to be made from shatterproof, high-grade polycarbonate and certified to the Australian and New Zealand AS/NZS 1337.1:2010 safety standards, as well as the US ANSI Z87.1+ standard.
Bridging PPE and lifestyle eyewear
The company’s new range is said to have been developed to “offer a more fashion-forward alternative to traditional safety eyewear, helping to bridge the gap between standard PPE and lifestyle eyewear not designed or certified for workplace use”.
CARVE Founder, Matt Whyte, says the move into safety eyewear follows naturally from the brand’s origins.
“Safety eyewear felt like the next logical step for the brand. Workers need eye protection that performs […], but that doesn’t mean it has to look or feel like traditional safety gear,” he says.
“Our Safety Range delivers durability, certified high-impact protection, all-day comfort and the kind of styling people actually want to wear at work.”
The range caters to a variety of industries, including healthcare, where compliant eye protection is required.
The company says a selection of lens options is available, including clear, yellow, rose, grey, iridium and photochromatic, allowing workers to choose eyewear suited to different lighting conditions and applications.
All lenses provide UV400 protection, blocking 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays.
