Chemist Discount Centre maximises e-commerce

With reportedly a 19% increase in online shopping, Chemist Discount Centre (CDC) has reportedly integrated its e-Prescription and Click & Collect technology, amplifying its e-commerce platform.

This integration is expected to create a seamless, end-to-end process for its online customers, allowing the easy upload of e-Prescription tokens into its Click & Collect system, ensuring quick access to prescription medications, while also giving access to OTC and daily consumer items.

“The CDC online platform features the entire range of our pharmacy’s products and offers, so customers can get what they need in a way that’s quick and convenient for them,” says Kavita Nadan, owner of Chemist Discount Centre Endeavour Hills.

For customers, the items can be made ready for collection or delivered to their door from their pharmacy of choice, all coordinated from the comfort of their own home.

Same day delivery is also available in participating stores via delivery partners, or items can be scheduled for delivery on other convenient times.

“The CDC brand has been built upon sophisticated technology. We have an automated inventory management system, pricing analytics, and now a seamless integration of our Click & Collect technology with e-Prescription functionality,” says Roger Millichamp, CEO.

In the next phase of the technology development, CDC will reportedly focus on adding improvements to the operational efficiency for pharmacy teams.

“The CDC Click & Collect system will be fully integrated with the Point-Of-Sale system for quick and simple retrieval of online orders without the need to scan each item, or extract the orders from separate platforms,” says Mr Millichamp.

Quarterly overall web traffic report and sales reports for Click & Collect/Deliver will also be made available to CDC pharmacies, with itemised details of each item sold.

“Our focus is to keep supporting our CDC franchisees to run superior and successful businesses, with the end goal of supporting their communities,” says Mr Millichamp.
