Complete Care Pharmacy Launceston City celebrates grand opening

Complete Care Pharmacy Launceston City celebrated its grand opening on Wednesday 23 September, welcoming the local community to meet the team and explore the pharmacy at 27–29 Brisbane Street. Tasmanian Deputy Premier Guy Barnett officially cut the ribbon.

The opening celebrated a pharmacy with strong community ties, built in no small part on the care owner and pharmacist Luciana Torrents has given local patients over the years. Visitors toured the newly designed pharmacy, including its private consultation spaces and robotic dispensing system, and saw how the Complete Care Pharmacy model gives pharmacists more time and space to provide personalised care. They also learned about the services available from its pharmacists and allied health professionals, including specialised compounding, diabetes support, medication packing and access to a nurse practitioner and herbalist.

“Launceston has been my community for a long time, so it was lovely to welcome familiar faces into the pharmacy and share what we’ve been working on,” said Luciana Torrents, owner and pharmacist at Complete Care Pharmacy Launceston City. “We want people to feel they can come in, ask questions and take the time they need with us. A grand opening event was a wonderful way to celebrate that with the community.”

Complete Care Pharmacy Head of Partnerships Nicole Hooley said the opening was an opportunity to show how the team’s longstanding relationships with patients are supported by the Complete Care model. “Luciana and the team have earned the trust of this community through the care they provide every day. It was wonderful to see so many people come in to celebrate with them and experience the pharmacy for themselves. The Complete Care model gives pharmacists like Luciana the space, systems and support to practise to their full scope, so patients get the time and care they need.”

Complete Care Pharmacy has locations across Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
