Guild Interns to receive complimentary accreditation training via the College

College President, Michelle Bou-Samra, is pleased to announce that the Australasian College of Pharmacy will support the education needs of intern pharmacists with complimentary accreditation training available to interns enrolled in the Guild Intern Training Program from 2023 onwards.

“The College is dedicated to supporting the educational needs of the pharmacy industry across Australia and especially interns as the next generation of registered pharmacists,” Ms Bou-Samra said.

“Our goal is to equip the next generation of pharmacists with the knowledge and skills to practise to their full scope from initial registration and be able to offer more primary healthcare services to patients.”

“Accreditation not only supports pharmacists to provide Home Medicines Reviews and Residential Medication Management Reviews but the skills and knowledge required to do any type of medication reviews.”

“The accreditation training will be available for Guild Interns commencing in the January 2023 cohort.”

“In addition to the complimentary accreditation training, we are pleased to offer Guild Interns complimentary College membership, valued at $399, for the duration of their internship.”

“College membership grants Guild Interns easy access to a range of online resources to meet the Pharmacy Board requirements for pharmacist’s continuing professional development and support their journey through their internship.”

“As the leading provider of education for the industry, the College supports pharmacists during all stages of their pharmacy career, from pharmacy student, intern to a registered pharmacist,” Ms Bou-Samra said.
