Inventory solution for the future

Chemist Warehouse Group (CWG) will use the Manhattan Active Inventory solution for inventory forecasting and replenishment needs. This  move follows CWG’s use of Manhattan’s Scale, a warehouse management and distribution operations solution.

Manhattan Active Inventory solution may  provide increased visibility into network demand to help respond to shifting requirements and better predict future inventory needs, and support CWG’s ‘No Gap’ policy  to keep store shelves full at all times.

The product’s inventory optimisation capabilities are intended to enable CWG to reduce store inventory levels from 40 days of supply down to 30 days, without increasing the risk of product gaps on the shelves.

Chemist Warehouse Group General Manager Supply Chain Joanne Lipsey said: “Working with Manhattan Associates will give us the inventory insight and control needed to deliver a better experience for our customers. By automating key inventory processes, the solution will also free up internal resources and allow our team to focus on more strategic initiatives to further drive growth and company success”.

Manhattan Associates Australia and New Zealand Managing Director Raghav Sibal said: “We are proud to work with the Chemist Warehouse Group to help them achieve the correct inventory balance to ensure product availability, prevent inventory surplus and drive profitability. Manhattan Associates delivers the advanced demand forecasting and inventory visibility our clients need to maintain control over their inventory assets and drive the most value network-wide”.
