Local pharmacies support Australia’s next generation of champions

Chemists’ Own ‘Help Us Help Our Local Community’ initiative is rallying 338 pharmacies across Australia to raise funds for early learning centres in their local communities.

Held annually, this year marks the fifth consecutive year ‘Help Us’ has been rolled out across local pharmacy. Last year, 332 pharmacies participated in the program, raising over $10,000 for local early learning centres.

‘Help Us Help Our Local Community’ is a grassroots campaign that raises money through in-store donations and sales of the Chemists’ Own Children’s Range.

Chemists’ Own Brand Manager, Stephanie Calapa, said: “Help Us Help Our Local Community’ has been designed to support organisations and programs that do meaningful work and play a caring role within communities.”

At the conclusion of the program, Chemists’ Own will select five pharmacies to receive a Help Us A+ Award. Each winning pharmacy will receive a $1,000 Educational Experience voucher to donate to their early learning centre of choice, and a $200 visa gift card for pharmacy employees to enjoy.

The Help Us A+ Awards, aim to encourage and recognise the efforts of the pharmacies themselves in raising funds for the community. Pharmacies can win Help Us A+ awards in the following categories: Best Display, Community Engagement, Social Media Engagement, Children’s Sales, Overachiever Store.

As part of the initiative, Chemists’ Own has also released a children’s activity book that has been gifted to over 1,000 early learning centres and participating pharmacies nationally.

The campaign will run between September and December. Chemists’ Own will announce the winning pharmacy fundraisers in each category on December 6.
