MS Gong Ride Goes Virtual in 2020

Registrations are now open for the 2020 MS Gong Ride, the virtual event encouraging thousands of Australians to take part this October in the Ride to Fight MS.

While for the past 39 years, tens of thousands of cycling enthusiast have taken on the challenging and scenic ride from Sydney to Wollongong, to raise vital funds for people living with MS, this year the ride has gone virtual to provide Australians nationwide to get involved and show their support.

“Even as the world changes, the challenges of living with MS persist. Over 25,000 Australians are living with MS. That number continues to grow, with 10 people in Australia receiving a diagnosis every week,” says MS Limited CEO, John Blewonski.

“The need for support continues to grow, that’s why I am so delighted to launch the MS Virtual Gong Ride.

“The MS Gong Ride is usually a sell-out event, and people travel from all over Australia and internationally to take part in this iconic ride.

“This year, no one will miss out. Wherever you are, you too can take part and fundraise to make sure every person facing MS can live well and receive the support the need.”

Registrations are free and all budding cyclists, whether beginners, amateurs or seasoned professionals are encouraged to participate.

All you need is a bike and a phone to take part.

Whether outside or on a stationary bike indoors, the challenge is free and an opportunity to come together to show support for the Australians living with MS.

It’s a great opportunity to get everyone at your pharmacy involved in this great event; to support and continue the fight against MS this October.
