The Pharmacy Guild of Australia is inviting all Australians to nominate their local community pharmacy and pharmacists for the 2026 Guild Community Pharmacy Awards.
Recognising the vital role of community pharmacists and pharmacy teams, the awards celebrate outstanding care, exceptional service, innovation and dedication to providing accessible healthcare.
‘An opportunity to thank everyday heroes’
“Every community has a pharmacy team that’s making a difference,” says National President of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Professor Trent Twomey.
“Our pharmacies support patients through chronic illness, provide trusted healthcare when it’s needed most, and are open when other services are closed.
“These awards are your opportunity to thank the everyday heroes in your community pharmacy, the ones who are always there, providing expert care when it’s needed most.”
Australians are encouraged to nominate pharmacists or pharmacy teams who have made a meaningful impact.
Whether it’s a pharmacist who goes the extra mile, a pharmacy team that has become a lifeline for locals, or a student pharmacist making a mark, a nomination ensures they receive the recognition they deserve.
‘Acknowledging the important role pharmacies play’
“As more services are delivered through community pharmacies, now is a better time than ever to acknowledge the important role they play,” says Professor Twomey.
The 3 award categories are:
- Community Pharmacy of the Year
- Community Pharmacist of the Year
- Student Pharmacist of the Year.
Finalists will be selected from each state and territory, with national winners announced at the 2026 Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference (APP) held 12-14 March 2026.
