Pete Evans product recalled

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) is conducting a recall of ‘Pete Evans Health Everyday Jamaican Simmer Sauce 330g’.

As stated on the FSANZ website, the product has been available for sale at independent food retailers including IGA in NSW, Qld and SA.

It was additionally available in health food stores in NSW, Qld and Vic, pharmacies in NSW and Qld, and from online food retailers in Australia.

Best before 10/07/2022

Batch Code 19220676/1

Why is the product being recalled?

The recall is due to incorrect packaging (Thai Green Curry Sauce 330g labelled incorrectly as Jamaican Simmer Sauce 330g) which has resulted in the presence of an undeclared allergen (fish).

The FSANZ website is advising that consumers who have a seafood allergy or intolerance should not consume this product.

It’s also stated on the website that customers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
