More than 1,000 pharmacists, pharmacy owners, retail managers and industry professionals have gathered for the annual TerryWhite Chemmart Conference, Shaping the Future of Care, a three-day event focused on strategy, innovation and the evolving role of community pharmacy in Australia.
Bringing together one of the country’s largest community pharmacy networks, the conference provides a platform to share the brand’s strategic priorities and execution plans for the year ahead, spanning digital innovation, CareClinic and full scope programs, customer experience, retail excellence and business support.
A major highlight of the conference is the unveiling of the TerryWhite Chemmart “Showcase Pharmacy” in Tewantin, Queensland, in partnership with pharmacy owner Tanya Maloney. The pharmacy brings together a decade of TerryWhite Chemmart excellence and innovation into one future-focused pharmacy, showing what is possible when health leadership, retail innovation, and digital capability come together.
The Showcase Pharmacy introduces:
•An enhanced CareClinic model supporting full scope services and private consultations.
•Side-by-side care enabled by handheld digital concierge devices.
•Expanded in-store digital assets to drive conversion at shelf.
•A warmer, more contemporary evolution of the TerryWhite Chemmart look and feel
•Robotics and automation to support dispensing efficiency
•24/7 Click & Collect and access to pharmacy essentials beyond trading hours.
Across the three days, delegates will also hear updates and announcements designed to equip network partners for the next phase of industry change. These include opportunities to upgrade digital signage and electronic shelf labels, a new partnership with Canva to drive marketing excellence and brand consistency across the network, the launch of a refreshed customer experience program and further enhancements to the Pathway to Prescribing as more and more pharmacists from across the network enrol to qualify as prescribers.
Alongside these announcements, the brand also focused the network on the transition to LIGHT, its next-generation integrated bookings and professional practice platform, purpose-built to support the expanding scope of pharmacist practice. LIGHT is designed to simplify service delivery, embed prescribing workflows, and create a seamless connection between bookings, consultations, documentation, and patient follow-up.
These investments are delivering measurable results. CareClinic services have grown 20 per cent year-on-year, reflecting strong patient demand and strong network engagement. More than 3.5 million prescriptions have now been processed through the TerryWhite Chemmart app, strengthening customer connection and medication management support, while script growth across the network continues to outperform the broader market, underscoring the impact of combining clinical leadership with digital capability and disciplined execution.
With nearly 100 supplier partners in attendance, 2026 marks the largest exhibition hall in the history of a TerryWhite Chemmart conference. It underscores the strength of the brand’s supplier relationships and collaborative ecosystem.
The conference will conclude on Wednesday evening with the HEART Awards Gala, celebrating excellence across the TerryWhite Chemmart network and recognising outstanding contributions from both pharmacy teams and supplier partners. Michael Beaumont, General Manager of TerryWhite Chemmart, said the conference reflects the brand’s commitment to leading the future of community pharmacy.
“Community pharmacy is evolving rapidly, and TerryWhite Chemmart is determined to lead that evolution. Our network has consistently demonstrated that when we combine health leadership with retail excellence and strong business support, we create meaningful impact for our patients and our communities.”
“Our Showcase Pharmacy in Tewantin represents ten years of innovation brought to life in one location. It is a tangible example of how digital capability, full scope services and an elevated customer experience can work together to shape the future of care.”
“With more than 1,000 delegates and nearly 100 supplier partners joining us, this conference is about momentum and ensuring our network partners are equipped to thrive in a changing healthcare landscape.”
The TerryWhite Chemmart Conference reinforces the brand’s ongoing commitment to empowering its network of community pharmacies to deliver accessible, high-quality care to Australians — today and into the future.
