TWC’s seventh annual Masterclass event

TerryWhite Chemmart (TWC) is kicking off its seventh annual two-day Masterclass event on 19 June 2021, with the event being held virtually for the first time to accommodate both social distancing and expand its reach to a wider audience of pharmacists.

With an expected audience of more than 1000 delegates, the 2021 Masterclass event is reportedly going to be a milestone event in terms of both content and production.

“We have certainly not held back to ensure this event is of the same high standard our pharmacists have come to expect of Masterclass over the last six years,” says TWC CEO Duncan Phillips.

“Our pharmacists will be treated to quality content delivered via exceptional speakers in a very impressive format.

“And, of course, Masterclass would not be Masterclass without the wonderful support of our loyal supplier partners who will be there throughout in the virtual supplier hall.”

Leading the TWC Masterclass event is TWC Chief Pharmacist, Brenton Hart who says the agenda for this year’s event is comprehensive, covering a range of topics from medicinal cannabis, chronic pain management, the psychology of weight, skin disorders to the role of pharmacists in palliative care management.

“Masterclass is about pushing our pharmacists beyond their current knowledge levels and providing them with the most up to date clinical and leadership expertise so they can continue to take care of their communities,” he says.

“Pharmacists all over the country are on the front line of health care and as pharmacists we have so much to offer to the community – keeping our knowledge up to date is critical in ensuring we can offer the best level of practical care.”

A number of highly respected health professionals will be joining Mr Hart and the TWC team on the virtual podium over the next few days.

These health professionals include Palliative Care “royalty” Professor Liz Reymond, Pain Management Expert Joyce McSwan, Weight Psychologist Glenn MacIntosh, and Communications Specialist Dr Louise Mahler.

“We are honoured to have such a strong line up of health and industry leaders who will help our network of pharmacists drive change in their respective communities,” adds Mr Hart.

“This year’s event will also be the launch vehicle for several exciting initiatives, which we look forward to detailing over the next few months so watch this space.”

The two-day TWC Masterclass for 2021 is expected to kick off tomorrow (19 June) and will provide pharmacists with a pathway to achieve their full years CPD accreditation.

The virtual event will also include the announcement of the 2021 TWC Pharmacist of the Year.
