Pharmacy winners in community aid series

Chemists’ Own has announced the winners of its 2019 ‘Help us help our local community’ initiative, in which 338 pharmacies across Australia rallied together to raise funds for early learning centres.

Held annually, this was the fifth consecutive year the ‘Help us’ initiative was rolled out across local pharmacy. This year the program raised more than $15,000 for local early learning centres through in-store donations and sales of the Chemists’ Own children’s range.

“‘Help us help our local community’ is designed to support organisations and programs that do meaningful work and play a caring role within communities,” Chemists’ Own Brand Manager Stephanie Calapa said.

“Early learning centres were an obvious choice to be the beneficiaries of ‘Help us’, in light of all the wonderful work they do in caring for the next generation.

“As a trusted cornerstone in communities, we’re delighted to see that so many pharmacies are keen to participate in the initiative and raise funds for their local centres.”

Chemists’ Own has selected five pharmacies to receive a Help Us A+ Award. Categories include Overachiever store, Children’s sales, Social media engagement, Community engagement, and Best display..

Winning pharmacies receive a $1,000 Educational Experience voucher to donate to their early learning centre of choice, and a $200 Visa gift card for pharmacy employees to use.
