5 days to show coronavirus symptoms

Evidence shows that those infected with COVID-19, may be symptom-free for about 5 days on average.

It’s expected that people will begin to experience symptoms within 12 days.

It’s been advised that patients are actively monitored for 14 days after an assumed exposure to coronavirus, according to the findings published in Annals of Internal Medicine, which are supported by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Infection with the virus can either be asymptomatic or result in mild to severe symptomatic disease.
