CW joins forces with Head Above Water

Chemist Warehouse (CW) announced it will be the naming rights sponsor for Head Above Water 24-Hour Swimathon to be held this Saturday and Sunday at Collaroy Rockpool in Sydney.

After raising more than $160,000 in the past two years, this year the Swimathon will once again support Head Above Water’s goal of building mentally fit communities and raising much-needed funds to support the vital work of Gotcha4Life.

The 2021 swim begins at 8am on Saturday, 20 March and will finish at 8am on Sunday, 21 March.

There are four lanes to cater for all levels of swimming ability and people can choose to swim as many, or as few laps as they like.

Every swimmer has the opportunity to raise money via their own sponsorship page or can form a team to raise even more money, while CW will have a stall set up on-site during the event to fundraise.

All funds raised in 2021 will be donated directly to the Gotcha4Life Foundation.

Over the last two years, Head Above Water has partnered with Gotcha4Life to help fund mental fitness workshops, including Tomorrow Man, Tomorrow Woman and Man Anchor, for Northern Beaches schools, sports clubs, businesses and community groups.

To date, more than 6,000 people have participated in workshops, creating a real positive impact on the peninsula.

“The Head Above Water swim is one of the best 24 hours our community can experience. With so much money and awareness raised, it’s an amazing day and it’s just the start of a beautiful partnership between Head Above Water and Gotcha4Life,” says Gotcha4Life Founder, TV and Radio personality, Gus Worland.

“Chemist Warehouse has been a committed supporter of Gotcha4Life since 2017 and is proud to this year be partnering up with Head Above Water for the 24 hour Swimathon.

“As the ‘House of Wellness’, Chemist Warehouse is passionate about providing assistance in any way we can to help improve wellbeing and build mental fitness in our communities across the country and we are thrilled to this year be lending our support to the 24-hour Swimathon,” says Chemist Warehouse Director, Mario Tascone.
