PSA Member Professional Indemnity Insurance

The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) wants to ensure that its members are supported into the future as their careers evolve, through the provision of the PSA Member Professional Indemnity Insurance.

The PSA Member Professional Indemnity Insurance is said to provide members with more choice via their low cost and competitive insurance option, designed for pharmacists across diverse practice settings.

It’s said to support medicine safety and helps to protect the community, along with helping to reduce the barriers pharmacists may face in practicing to full scope.

PSA’s insurance program is said to help fund activities that educate pharmacists on managing risk and reducing medicine error, like training, CPD activities, reports and representation to government.

Additionally, the PSA is reportedly offering low cost coverage to support pharmacist immunisers administering Covid-19 vaccines.

PSA Member Professional Indemnity Insurance, underwritten by Lloyds of London is reportedly tailored specifically to pharmacists’ scope of practice, including administration of Covid-19 vaccinations (where the state and territory, legal and regulatory requirements for pharmacist immunisers are met).

To sign up to the PSA Member Professional Indemnity Insurance, visit: psa.org.au/insurance/ or contact their member services team on 1300 369 772.
