APP2022 Convenor Kos Sclavos AM says the program highlights some fantastic sessions that will appeal to everyone in the pharmacy industry.

“APP2022’s program is absolutely bursting at the seams with incredible sessions and speakers,” says Mr Sclavos.

“One of the greatest appeals from my perspective is the practical nature of the sessions.

“Much of APP2022’s content will focus on providing attendees with practical information as we transition into this next stage in the fight against Covid-19.

“Three sessions, in particular, I’m looking forward to are Olly Bridge’s session on how to avoid burnout and bounce forward out of Covid-19, Professor Ross Tsuyuki’s session on realising community pharmacy’s full scope of practice and a panel session on the future of community pharmacy in a post-Covid world.

“National Covid Taskforce Coordinator, Lieutenant General John Frewen has also been invited as a key speaker.”

Mr Sclavos says attendees will also get a chance to hear from three-time Paralympic gold medallist Kurt Fearnley AO.

“Mr Fearnley has won over 40 marathons, including the New York, Chicago, and London marathons and was recently announced as the Paralympic athlete representative on the Committee for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games.”

Mr Sclavos reiterates that the 100% Covid refund guarantee available for APP2021 will continue to be offered for the 2022 event (to be held on the Gold Coast 24-27 March 2022).

This refund guarantee aims to provide peace of mind for delegates wanting to register early and save.

“While the chances of lockdowns are increasingly unlikely, if anyone can’t travel to APP2022 due to Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns, they will be entitled to a full refund,” says Mr Sclavos.

“The Covid Refund Guarantee, coupled with the early bird rate, provides a win-win for those who want to book early and save.”
