Hon Mark Butler MP joins APP2022

APP2022 Convenor Kos Sclavos AM confirms that Hon Mark Butler MP, Federal Shadow Minister for Health and Aged Care, will be joining the speaking line-up at the Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference & Trade Exhibition (APP), 24-27 March 2022 on the Gold Coast.

Mr Butler will be addressing attendees during the morning session of Thursday, 24 March 2022.

Mr Sclavos says the announcement of Mr Butler as key speaker once again demonstrates the vital place community pharmacy has in national health policy.

“We’re very pleased to have Mr Butler addressing APP2022,” says Mr Sclavos.

“Those of us who were able to attend APP2021 remember his contribution, so we’re delighted that Mr Butler is able to provide an update to the pharmacy industry on the Gold Coast once again.

Mr Sclavos says that Mr Butler joins other fantastic speakers like Olly Bridge and Dr Ross Tsuyuki

“APP2022’s program is looking great – it is full of some fantastic speakers and sessions,” he says.

“One of the greatest appeals to attendees from my perspective is the practical nature of the sessions.

“Much of APP2022’s content will focus on providing attendees with practical information as we transition into this next stage in the fight against Covid-19.

“I’m looking forward to three sessions, in particular – Mr. Butler’s speech, Olly Bridge’s session on how to avoid burnout and bounce forward out of Covid-19, and Professor Ross Tsuyuki’s session on realising community pharmacy’s full scope of practice and a panel session on the future of community pharmacy in a post COVID world.”

Registration for APP2022 is now open, with early bird pricing allowing delegates to save over $100 currently still on offer.

Mr Sclavos remindeds potential attendees that the 100% Refund Guarantee introduced for APP2021 would also continue to be on offer for the 2022 event, providing peace of mind for delegates wanting to register early and save.

“While this is growing increasingly unlikely due to borders reopening and Australia’s vaccination rates, if attendees can’t travel to APP2022 due to Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns, they will be entitled to a full refund,” says Mr. Sclavos.
