Management and operations stream at APP2022

Next year’s APP program includes a dedicated management and operations stream for pharmacists seeking practical advice on how to run a pharmacy more efficiently.

APP2022 Convenor, Kos Sclavos says that the sessions which include topics such as managing risk and financial benchmarking, would assist pharmacists with practical, everyday operations as well as advice on how to future proof their pharmacies, as we adapt to a post-Covid world.

“Given what the past 18 months have looked like as an industry, we’ve included some very practical management and operations topics in APP2022’s program as we move into the next stages of Covid-19 recovery,” says Mr Sclavos.

“Thursday’s session on how to prepare a Quality Care 2020 assessment will be invaluable for enhancing a pharmacy’s service and care.

“Also taking place on Thursday is a session examining the outcomes of the latest Guild digest, which will assist owners and managers with financial benchmarking in this rapidly evolving economic environment.

“Other topics covered in the stream include how to deliver the full customer experience and how to manage risk and prevent errors.”

With the event now only 18 weeks away, Mr Sclavos encourages anyone thinking about attending to register now and book their travel and accommodation.

“With the borders opening up across Australia, there’s no better time than the present for people to register,” says Mr Sclavos.

“Early bird pricing which allows delegates to save over $100 is still on offer, as is the 100% Covid refund guarantee.

“While it is increasingly unlikely we’ll have any interruptions due to borders reopening and Australia’s increasing vaccination rates, if attendees can’t travel to APP2022 due to Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns, they will be entitled to a full refund,” says Mr Sclavos.
