Season 2 of ‘How much do you know?’ launches in time for World Aids Day

To mark World Aids Day on 1 December, Eastside Radio is launching Season 2 of the How Much Do You Know? podcast.

With the fresh perspective that only living through a pandemic brings, this new season is said to take you on an audio journey through the history of HIV, and the innovations, resilience and personalities that have defined its impact on Australia.

Episode 1 Natasha: Meet Natasha, who had her dream job, dream partner and dream life until HIV came knocking.

Episode 2 Richard: Duxing Sydney’s Scots College is not an easy thing – nor is running positive only nights at an Amsterdam nightclub. Richard Keldoulis and his alter ego Jennifer Hopelezz share their amazing story.

Episode 3 Micheal: Michael is a proud Kalkadoon, Barada Barna and Wangi man who lives in Cairns in Far North Queensland. His HIV diagnosis turned his life around – in a good way!

Episode 4 Nick: How did Australia beat the world with its HIV response? We discover the electric personalities, innovation, and dumb luck behind our success with Nick Cook author of Fighting For Our Lives.

Episode 5 Jane: HIV either makes or breaks families – luckily Jane had an exceptional family – not everyone is so lucky.

HIV turns 40 this year. And while the epidemic peaked in 1997, there are 37 million people who have received HIV diagnoses worldwide – and 30,000 Australians.

Australia’s goal is to end transmission by 2025 through prevention, testing and treatment.
