Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) is offering free membership to interns enrolled in National Alliance for Pharmacy Education (NAPE) university internship programs, as part of a partnership designed to ensure knowledge networks and growth opportunities support emerging practitioners during the critical intern year.
The AdPha-NAPE intern offering is open to interns enrolled at:
- Monash University;
- the University of Queensland;
- the University of South Australia; and
- the University of Sydney.
It grants them full AdPha Provisional Membership, which includes free access to the Australian and New Zealand College of Advanced Pharmacy (ANZCAP) portfolio-building platform.
‘The new offering will expand opportunities for growth’
“There is so much to take in during your intern year, and it is so important to stay
connected to like-minded professionals as you chart your own path,” says AdPha Resident candidate Georgia Bridges, adding that the new offering will expand NAPE interns’ opportunities for growth.
“I am currently undertaking a Resident Training Program in the hospital setting, and I know that having free access to AdPha’s networking and peer support, events and resources, and personal and professional development opportunities can provide enormous benefit heading toward your first ANZCAP recognition,” she says.
‘The throughline of knowledge-sharing and community’
AdPha Vice President Dr Kate O’Hara FANZCAP (Neonatol., Paeds), Chair of the ANZCAP Advisory Board, says the AdPha-NAPE Intern offering adds to the series of benefits that support pharmacy practitioners from students and trainees to innovators and leaders.
“In such an ever-evolving health care landscape, it is crucial that students are
supported regularly and from their earliest stages to map their career progression,” she says.
“AdPha membership, including free access to ANZCAP, is the throughline of
knowledge-sharing and community that connects each career stage.”
ANZCAP Pharmacy Student of the Year competition open
In addition to the new intern membership offering, AdPha has also opened submissions for the ANZCAP Pharmacy Student of the Year competition.
The award recognises students who demonstrate diversity in their learning
through ANZCAP’s portfolio-building platform.
The recipient will attending the Medicines Management 2025 conference, in Melbourne this November.
