AdCheck to include TVC classifications

Consumer Healthcare Products (CHP) Australia is expanding its advertising advisory service – AdCheck – to include TVC classifications.

Beginning in January 2021, therapeutic goods advertisements that AdCheck has assessed to be compliant with the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code (TGAC) will be able to access TVC classification service at no extra charge.

AdCheck’s expansion into TVC classification follows requests and feedback from advertisers, retailers, and broadcasters looking to confidently manage their classifications and compliance obligations.

“AdCheck was established to support responsible advertising and advertisers, so we see this complimentary TVC classification service as a natural extension,” says CHP Australia Chief Executive Officer, Dr Deon Schoombie.

“Since launching in July, we have been encouraged by the enthusiastic response AdCheck has received from across the sector, including product sponsors, agencies, retailers and publishers. They trust the AdCheck experts.

“Our new TVC classification service will streamline post-production processes for advertisers and broadcasters wanting to effectively minimise their risk of noncompliance.”
