Blackmores joins China alliance

Vitamin and dietary supplement brand Blackmores is one of only four Australian companies to be inaugurated as a member of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) Enterprise Alliance.

Blackmores Executive Director Marcus Blackmore and Asia Managing Director Peter Osborne attended the Alliance signing ceremony at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai this week.

“The Alliance will hold regular roundtable meetings between members and the Chinese Government, including the Ministry of Commerce, to foster international trade. It is an opportunity for us to further strengthen our already strong working relationship with the Chinese Government” Mr Blackmore says.

Asia Managing Director Peter Osborne said: “We are honoured to become a member of the CIIE Enterprise Alliance. We welcome expanded and improved access for foreign products to enter China and are very committed to working hand-in-hand with the Government to support this.”

Blackmores said in a statement that with the Chinese Government’s commitment to improve the health and wellbeing of its citizens, demonstrated by President Xi Jinping’s Healthy China 2030 policy, China presents enormous opportunities for them as an Australian business.
