Changes announced to this year’s PA Conference

This year’s Pharmacy Assistant National Conference (PA2023) has been revamped with a new look, a new date and a new location!

PA2023 will be held in conjunction with Pharmacy Connect this year, with the event taking place from 31 August to 2 September at the Hyatt Regency in Sydney.

Pharmacy Guild of Australia National President, Professor Trent Twomey says moving the PA Conference to Sydney “will bring a greater number of attendees to the Conference”.

“Sydney is the largest pharmacy market in Australia. This strong community pharmacy base, coupled with the nearby location of some of the country’s major pharmacy schools, will bring a greater number of attendees to the Conference,” he said.

“With more than 800 attendees expected to attend Pharmacy Connect and 300-plus attendees expected to attend the PA2023, the combined event offers the pharmacy sector more opportunities for networking and professional growth outside of the pharmacy walls.”

With PA2023 and Pharmacy Connect combined this year, the new look trade exhibition will be open to both events – the 50-plus stand trade exhibition will provide pharmacy assistants with access to even more industry suppliers demonstrating the latest industry products and services.

PA2023 will also feature the announcement of the national winner of the highly regarded Pharmacy Guild of Australia/Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award.
