Chris Owen elected as new ACP President

The Australian College of Pharmacy has elected Chris Owen as President and Rick Xynias as Vice President at its recent annual elections.

Both are members of the Pharmacy Guild’s Queensland Branch committee.

A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Mr Owen is a pharmacist with more than 10 years’ experience in operational and strategic management roles within the healthcare industry, as well as experience in corporate governance, compliance and risk management.

His passions are said to include supporting the development of all pharmacists, including those in rural practice and ‘next gen’ pharmacists.

“I look forward to continuing the quality work of the College in delivering cutting edge pharmacist education,” Mr Owen said.
