IPE Colloquium returns for 2025 with a focus on trust

Taking place on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, at the Rydges Hotel in Melbourne, Chief Executive Officer, Bronwyn Clark says the interprofessional event will explore trust both across professions and within professions, particularly through an assessment lens and against evolving community expectations.

“Healthcare is built on trust. Community trust and expectations are influencing the future of healthcare. These are forces that threaten health outcomes. What actions do we need to take as educators in today’s landscape of expanding scopes of practice, technology, misinformation, and artificial intelligence?

“Accreditation authorities across the health professions are committed to creating a workforce built on trust, collaboration and communication. Through assessment, how do we address this evolving issue?

“We are thrilled to welcome everyone back to another thought-provoking Colloquium,” Ms Clark concluded.

Previous topics include student preparedness, virtual reality in education, mental health, interprofessional collaboration, listening to Indigenous voices, and transforming curriculum to create resilient professionals.

Their most recent Colloquium in May 2024 was very well-received by attendees. It focussed on amplifying Indigenous voices and delivered a series of panels to reflect this. Next year, the event will return to a multi-format event with mixed types of presentations and workshops.

The APC will release more information soon.
