Jurlique’s ongoing sustainability efforts take seed

To mark National Tree Day on 2 August 2020, as part of Jurlique’s ongoing sustainability efforts, for every bottle* of Jurlique Activating Water Essence sold in August, the company has committed to nurturing a tree seedling on their farm in the Adelaide Hills and will plant it at Cudlee Cree in 2021.

Through this Jurlique hopes to not only continue its sustainability efforts, but to help rejuvenate Cudlee Creek – one of the areas affected by the devastating bushfires that swept through Australia from September 2019 to March 2020.

“To be able to give back to our local community is extremely important to everyone at Jurlique, especially as many of our team members live amongst the fire damaged region, or personally know someone affected during the Cudlee Creek fires.

“We are looking forward to nursing the seeds and seeing them flourish,” says Jurlique Farm Manager, Cherie Hutchinson.

‘Pleased to support their efforts’

Jurlique have partnered with Trees For Life, a South Australian based not-for-profit community organisation that helps restore natural environments through revegetation programs, to support bushfire recovery efforts.

“It’s wonderful to work with Jurlique to help their local fire-affected community. The native seedlings Jurlique will grow and plant in partnership with Trees For Life will provide vital homes and food for wildlife and other benefits in a landscape that will take many years and lots of hard work and goodwill to recover. We are very pleased to support their efforts,” says Area Manager for Revegetation Services at Trees For Life, Vicki-Jo Russell.

Watch the seedlings progress virtually

Those who support Jurlique’s tree planting initiative will able to follow the seedlings progress virtually at the three- and six-month growing phase.

Customers may do this via Jurlique’s social media channels.

* Limited to 3000 bottles of Activating Water Essence sold, as 3000 seedlings is maximum capacity that can be cared for at any one time at The Farm.
