Manj Singh appointed as second Alternate National Councillor for Queensland

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Queensland, has today announced the appointment of Manj Singh as the Branch’s second Alternate National Councillor.

Acting Queensland Branch President Cate Whalan welcomed the appointment, highlighting Mr Singh’s extensive experience and commitment to the profession.

“Manj is a dynamic pharmacist with a strong background in dispensary management, aged care services, and dose administration packing.

“His collaborative leadership style and passion for mentoring make him an excellent representative for Queensland at a national level.

“His wealth of experience in leadership and his ability to engage with pharmacists at all levels of the profession ensures that the interests of Guild members across Queensland will be well represented, and we look forward to seeing the impact he will have,” Ms Whalan said.

Mr Singh said he was honoured to take on the role and looked forward to advocating for community pharmacy at a national level.

“I’m excited and honoured to represent Queensland’s community pharmacists and contribute to shaping policy at a national level.

“This continues to be a critical time for our profession, and I look forward to working with
my colleagues to strengthen our role in primary health care.”

In addition to this new role Mr Singh is also Queensland Branch Committee Member for Wide Bay Burnett where he works closely with businesses to support pharmacy growth and workforce development.

The National Council is the senior governing body of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia and is responsible for all Guild policies.
