New registration packages offered for PA Conference

A range of new registration packages for the Pharmacy Assistant National Conference (PA Conference) have been announced, which will enable pharmacy assistants to experience the event without committing to a full day or days away from the pharmacy.

The registration packages have been introduced in recognition of staff shortages in pharmacy, which make time away from the pharmacy for education and professional development difficult for pharmacy staff.

Guild National President, Professor Trent Twomey says the packages suit all budgets and time constraints.

“We were approached by numerous pharmacies who want to send staff to the event but can’t afford to have them out of the pharmacy for a whole day or two days,” says Professor Twomey.

“The packages allow staff to attend for as little as three hours or even attend outside of opening hours, with the trade exhibition and social functions taking place after hours.

“This is a great way for pharmacies to still be able to reward, recognise and retain staff without jeopardising patient needs by staff being out of the pharmacy.”

In addition to the new registration packages available, the conference offers early bird pricing on full registration, which will save delegates $65.

Pharmacies, which register two or more staff to attend the PA Conference will also receive a free APP2023 registration valued at over $1000.

PA2022 is being held at the Sofitel Brisbane Central on 28-29 October.
