Student Business Plan competition finalists chosen

Three teams have been announced as finalists in the Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s 2019 National Student Business Plan Competition.

To reach this point the finalists successfully progressed through the business plan, quarter-final and semi-final rounds and now face the final challenge of presenting their investor pitch ‘live’ at the Pharmacy Connect conference in Sydney on Friday September 6.

The three finalist teams are:

  • Know Your Genes Pharmacy – University of Auckland.
  • HealthKey Pharmacy – University of Technology Sydney.
  • Sunscope Pharmacy – University of Auckland.

The competition is an Australia and New Zealand-wide challenge, promoting creative entrepreneurship among students preparing for a career in community pharmacy.

Under the competition format, the teams produce business plans, provide written responses to feedback and develop an investor pitch video.

The winning team and EBOS People’s Choice award will be announced at a cocktail party on the evening of September 6, following the finalist’s presentations.

The winning team will receive $15,000 in cash prizes in addition to registration, flights and accommodation to attend Pharmacy Connect.
