The College continues rollout of revised membership offering with new academic journal

The Australasian College of Pharmacy continues to roll out its revised membership offering with the launch of the online academic journal, Pharmacy at the Frontline.

College President, Michelle Bou-Samra, announced the revised membership offering earlier this year, which incorporated a new structure of membership and new platforms of professional education including podcasts, micro-qualifications, and the journal.

“On behalf of the College, I am pleased to announce the launch of our inaugural journal, Pharmacy at the Frontline,” Ms Bou-Samra said.

“Published quarterly, this journal delivers education and research in clinical pharmacy practice and pharmacy leadership and management.

“As the name suggests, the journal acknowledges that a pharmacist can practice in a variety of settings. The journal delivers education in a range of forms, such as practice briefs, case studies and guidelines for pharmacists across those different settings.

“The launch of the peer-reviewed journal cements our commitment to our revised membership offering and aligning our offering with contemporary pharmacy practice.

“I commend our Chief Pharmacist, Dr Brett MacFarlane, and the team for being the driving force behind the concept, development, and execution of the journal,” Ms Bou-Samra said.

The next issue of Pharmacy at the Frontline is due for publication in October and College members, researchers and industry professionals are welcome and encouraged to submit contributions.

Continuing with the rollout of the revised membership offering, the College is in the works of launching a podcast later this year, which will add yet another medium to the range of learning platforms available for members.

Pharmacy at the Frontline is available to College members. If you are not a College member, I encourage you to join to gain access to this publication, the extensive CPD library, monthly webinars, discounted qualifications and much more,” Ms Bou-Samra said.
