Third-party nominations for this year’s pharmacy Guild of Australia/Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award (PATY) close on Friday 1 July, so anyone wanting to nominate pharmacy staff for this award needs to get in quick!
PATY provides a national platform for pharmacy assistants to be recognised for their dedication to work, commitment to patients and integral role in the community pharmacy team.
There’s a prize pool of over $10,000, including $5000 cash, a customised training package and return travel to Guild events.
It is worth completing the online entry form, which takes less than 10 minutes, to nominate an outstanding pharmacy assistant for this year’s award.
Pharmacy assistants nominated by a third party will have until 15 July to explain in 300 words or less why they should be considered for the award.
Award judges will then select up to 10 nominees per state to participate in a virtual state workshop, where winners from each state will be chosen to take part in a national judging workshop in Brisbane on 27 October.
The state winners will also take part in this year’s Pharmacy Assistant National Conference (28-29 October, Brisbane), with the national winner being announced at the Conference Dinner on Saturday night.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this will be the first time in two years that the award announcement has taken place face-to-face.
Time is running out!
To nominate a pharmacy assistant deserving of the PATY Award, submit your nomination by Friday at pharmacyassistants.com/paty.
