TerryWhite Chemmart (TWC) has partnered with Games4Good and Ovarian Cancer Australia (OCA), to help raise funds through its new family-fun dice game, ‘Herding Cats’.
The national fundraising campaign aims to raise funds to support those battling ovarian cancer.
“TerryWhite Chemmart has been partnered with Ovarian Cancer Australia for over 15 years and we are extremely proud to be able to support the great work OCA is doing through this initiative with Games4Good to both raise awareness and much-needed funds for women suffering from ovarian cancer,” TWC Executive General Manager, Nick Munroe said.
Andrew Bensley, Managing Director at Made4Good says that Games4Good is “linking the purchase of … ‘Herding Cats’ to help raise vital funds for OCA”.
“Now parents have a great reason to encourage their kids to put down their devices, to have some fun and raise some funds,” Mr Bensley said.
Herding Cats is a ‘push your luck’ dice game where players roll, collect, and steal cats to build a winning herd. It also provides a great avenue to bring families together and enjoy the traditions of playing games.
Every game sold helps to raise funds in support of women diagnosed with ovarian cancer and their families across the country.
With a survival rate of only 48%, it’s Australia’s deadliest female cancer and the game is expected to raise over $30,000 in support.
Jane Hill, CEO of Ovarian Cancer Australia, says the organisation is thrilled to partner with TWC and Games4Good for this special campaign, especially with Christmas and the festive season just around the corner.
“Christmas can be a very sensitive time for our community, so this is a way Australians can show their support for people affected by ovarian cancer,” Ms Hill said.
