TWC pharmacists recognised with President’s Award

TerryWhite Chemmart (TWC) network individuals and pharmacies were presented with the President’s Award at the recent Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Queensland Branch annual parliamentary reception, which recognised the contribution community pharmacists make across the state on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The recognition highlights the important role pharmacists play every day in the delivery of frontline healthcare to customers.

“I couldn’t be prouder of all who have been recognised with this award, they have gone above and beyond, serving the needs of local community members by actively seeking new ways to offer this vital vaccination service. They truly embody the core values of the TerryWhite Chemmart network,” TerryWhite Chemmart Executive General Manager Nick Munroe said.

Luise Fitton Pharmacy Manager at TWC Brookside was recognised as an outstanding individual for her contribution to community pharmacy and the exemplified services provided during the COVID-19 vaccination rollout.

“It is amazing to be recognised for something that I love to do every day, which is going above and beyond for our patients, our team, and the pharmacy profession,” Ms Fitton said.

Karen Brown and Rodney Garozzo from Arana Hills TerryWhite Chemmart, Tim Roberts from Cairns Central TerryWhite Chemmart and Kenny Ji Hei Wong from Victoria Point TerryWhite Chemmart were also recognised for the important roles played in protecting Queenslanders during the vaccination rollout.

“It was a full team effort from pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, family members and the best-in-industry back-end support. We thank our community, and beyond, for entrusting our team to protect them and their families,” Karen Brown, TWC Arana Hills said.
