TWC reaches vax booking milestone

In the lead up to World Pharmacist Day on Saturday, 25 September, TerryWhite Chemmart (TWC) acknowledges the incredible efforts of their vaccinating pharmacists who have managed to clock up more than 150,000 bookings across more than 400 vaccinating pharmacies.

Reportedly, TWC now also accounts for more than 13% of all pharmacist-administered Covid-19 vaccinations in community pharmacy.

Pleased with the network’s progress, TWC Executive General Manager Nick Munro believes it is just the beginning of many milestones over the next few weeks and months as Moderna stock starts arriving at pharmacies.

“Our pharmacists are highly trained and well experienced in delivering vaccinations so it’s not surprising to see many Australians trusting them for their Covid-19 vaccination,” says Mr Munroe.

“With Moderna bookings now open to the public we have over 35 pharmacies with more than 1000 bookings in the system, and I have no doubt these numbers will increase significantly over the next few weeks as Moderna becomes more freely available.”

The first TWC Pharmacy to receive Moderna stock was Dong Nguyen’s pharmacy in TWC Sunshine, Victoria who didn’t waste any time getting the vaccine in patients’ arms.

“We received the stock on Monday and within the hour I had vaccinated my first patient – a 38-year-old mum desperate to get her kids back to school safely and see her friends and family when restrictions ease,” says Mr Nguyen.

It’s said that more than 100 TWC pharmacies will be offering Moderna as of next week with a further 250+ expected to start over the coming few weeks.

“Our entire network is 100% invested in delivering Covid-19 vaccinations to their communities and it is certainly showing in the results.

“I want to wish every single one of our pharmacists a very well-deserved World Pharmacist Day this Saturday,” says Mr Munro.

“There has never been a more important year to celebrate your achievements than what you have achieved this year through the Covid-19 vaccination rollout.”
