WEBCAST LAUNCH OF NEW STANDARD TO MANAGE ANAPHYLAXIS

WHAT: Release of national Acute Anaphylaxis Clinical Care Standard

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care is hosting a live webcast to release a new standard for care of patients who experience a severe allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis.

The standard highlights the need for prompt treatment and continuity of patient care, as Australian hospital visits rise due to the potentially life-threatening condition.

Join experts to hear what the new standard means for healthcare professionals and consumers. They will discuss barriers to recognising anaphylaxis, appropriate treatment, safe discharge back into the community and best practice care after an episode of anaphylaxis.
