Woman majority on new board

The Capital Chemist pharmacy group has elected a new board made up of three women and two men.

The board comprises Elise Apolloni of Wanniassa, ACT; Sandra Ferrington (chair) of Kingston, ACT; Ben Gilbert of Bruce, ACT; Marcus Heiner of Bathurst, NSW; and Catherine Yee of Bowral, NSW.

“It is an exciting time to be in the community pharmacy industry, to be a Capital Chemist and to be constantly innovating,” Ms Ferrington said. “We hope to continue to encourage and support inspiring, like-minded pharmacists across the country into pharmacy ownership, with less requirement for substantial personal savings. This is our philosophy – giving access to pharmacy ownership to the best person for the job.”

Operating for 40 years across the eastern seaboard, Capital Chemist says it is known for its customer care, community programs that give monetary support to local charities, and an award-winning, professionally-focused service model.
