Amcal team selfie appeal

Local Amcal pharmacies from across the country have celebrated the important work of their teams’ contribution to the healthcare of communities during COVID-19, with a range of physically distant store selfies in honour of tireless pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and pharmacy teams in each pharmacy.

Pharmacies as far as Amcal Community Pharmacy in Como, Western Australia to Humpty Doo Amcal Pharmacy in the Northern Territory were amongst the first to take part in the initiative, which called on the pharmacies to take a brief moment out of their busy days for a team photo to celebrate their hard working team members.

Head of Amcal, Kurt O’Brien, says that Amcal thanks its entire network of pharmacy teams across the country who remain deeply dedicated to the health and wellbeing of all Australians, both during COVID-19 and beyond.

“Pharmacies are at the frontline of community healthcare and remain pivotal in supporting Australians better understand and manage their health,” says Mr O’Brien.

“When it came to celebrating our pharmacy champions, we wanted to find a way to show the collective face of our dedicated, selfless, and proud pharmacy family.

“To help celebrate, say thanks and connect to one another, we asked pharmacy leaders across the country to capture and share some snaps of their very own Amcal families.

“We also called on the community to share their own thanks, with countless members of the community sharing their personal experiences with a local pharmacy champion on the Amcal Facebook and Instagram pages,” adds Mr O’Brien.

The store selfie challenge follows a string of initiatives from Amcal, designed to celebrate its pharmacy champions and to help consumers and pharmacy teams stay safe and stay connected during COVID-19.
