Flu vaccination program with a difference

Australian pharmacy retailer offers influenza vaccination program with a difference.

This comes in the form of a ‘direct to consumer’ expression of interest campaign from TerryWhite Chemmart for its influenza vaccination program next year.

The pharmacy network says the campaign will enable consumers to sign up to be the first to know about vaccine availability as well as early booking access.

Within 24 hours of launch, the campaign generated more than 5000 expressions of interest from customers.

The pharmacy network says it is doing everything it can to ensure more Australians can access this public health service next year amid strong demand.

To meet demand, TerryWhite Chemmart has increased its online booking capacity and revamped its corporate flu program.

“Our comprehensive training and engagement plan will help us prepare for what we believe will be the biggest vaccination season ever,” TerryWhite Chemmart Chief Pharmacist Brenton Hart says.

“Our network of pharmacists will be updated on the latest vaccines, be trained on vial vaccine administration and learn about best-practice workflow management for the upcoming vaccination season.

“Pharmacist-administered vaccination is one of the most successful public health initiatives in Australia in recent years with the number of pharmacist-administered vaccinations increasing to three million this year, up from two million last year.”
