Blooms The Chemist puts on its gardening gloves for Gidget Foundation Australia

Blooms The Chemist’s support office has worked with Gidget Foundation Australia to complete a full garden regeneration at its headquarters in North Sydney.

The two-day project, led by the team at Landscape Solutions and NBRS Architecture with the support of several partner organisations, has resulted in the Gidget House North Sydney garden getting a full makeover, delivering a special and safe space for expectant and new parents who access the vital services of the not-for-profit organisation.

Blooms The Chemist has been a partner of Gidget Foundation Australia since 2020, helping to raise awareness of perinatal depression and anxiety and providing support for expectant and new parents through this new stage of life.

Gidget Foundation Australia CEO Arabella Gibson acknowledged the continuous contribution of Blooms The Chemist and its role supporting the organisation.

“Through our ongoing partnership with Blooms The Chemist, we’re able to support even more expectant and new parents during a time of significant change and create greater awareness of perinatal depression and anxiety.

“It was great to get out in the garden with the Blooms The Chemist team and we are so grateful for the generosity received from all organisations involved in the regenerative garden project.

“As a result of their time and expertise we have created a special garden with a dedicated mini orchard, a range of herbs, vegetables and native bush tucker plants that will grow and flourish, giving back to Country and nurturing the generations to come that will visit Gidget House North Sydney,” Ms Gibson said.

Blooms The Chemist CEO Emmanuel Vavoulas was delighted to support the garden regeneration, reinforcing the brand’s purpose to supporting the local community.

“Blooms The Chemist is a proud partner of the Gidget Foundation. At our core, we are about connecting with, and making a difference for our local community. With one in five mums and one in ten dads or non-birthing partners experiencing perinatal depression, it’s important Blooms The Chemist helps raise awareness on health issues like this so people do not suffer alone.

“Everyone in our support office thoroughly enjoyed being involved in the project, rolling up our sleeves and helping to deliver what is an important space at Gidget House,” Mr Vavoulas said.

Alongside Blooms The Chemist, Ms Gibson extended her thanks to the generosity and expertise of the landscaping team.

“The team at Landscape Solutions and NBRS Architecture ensured a wonderful design, providing guidance and expert knowledge on what to grow and where to grow it, along with the full force of his landscaping team and the supply of irrigation, ensures the garden will flourish in the months and years to come.”
