Chemist Warehouse raises $278K for FightMND

Chemist Warehouse has raised $278,000 for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) throughout the 2022 FightMND campaign.

“The Chemist Warehouse team is proud to continue our six-year partnership with FightMND and raise vital funds and awareness for the important research and work conducted by Australia’s leading independent MND foundation,” Mario Tascone, Chemist Warehouse Director said.

“Having personally experienced the heartbreaking effects of this cruel disease and loss of loved ones within the Chemist Warehouse family, our team are fiercely passionate in their support of FightMND and remains committed to supporting the work of the foundation and tackling this disease in any way we can.”

The funds were raised via an in-store fundraising initiative in more than 500 Chemist Warehouse stores around the country during October.

The initiative also included the iconic Daniher’s Drive, which saw an 80-car convoy journey for three days through Victoria’s North East and Gippsland.

“We are so grateful and proud to have the ongoing support of the wider team and customers at Chemist Warehouse in the fight against MND,” Bec Daniher, Campaigns Director FightMND said.

“These generous funds will help support the critical efforts of MND researchers who are working hard to find better treatments and a cure for this devastating disease.

“Through this valuable partnership, we can continue to improve the lives of people living with MND, now and in the future and we can’t thank you enough,” she said.

FightMND was founded in 2014 and its aim is to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure for MND. It is said to be the largest independent funder for MND research in the world.
