Leafio Loyalty event elevates pharmacist medicinal cannabis education

Leafio, one of Australia’s leading medicinal cannabis distributors, hosted an educational event on December 3 to enhance the knowledge and professional development of Sydney’s pharmacists. The event attracted over 20 pharmacy professionals, offering a platform for learning and discussion on the latest initiatives in the medicinal cannabis sector.

The program featured a panel of industry experts delivering insightful presentations on emerging trends and practical clinical topics. Speakers included Nicole Le Maistre, General Manager of Leafio, who shared perspectives on evolving medicinal cannabis trends, offering both global insights and a focused view of developments within New South Wales.

Dr Mark Hardy, an Addiction Medicine Specialist speaking on behalf of Humacology, provided an expert overview of Cannabis Use Disorder and outlined practical approaches to harm minimisation.

The event was the latest in Leafio’s ongoing fostering of professional growth for pharmacists across Australia, including Western Australia (November 25), Queensland (October 21-22), and Victoria (August 7).

Nicole Le Maistre, General Manager of Leafio, said:

These events are a great opportunity to bring together pharmacists to deepen their understanding of the medicinal cannabis landscape and its evolving role in patient care as part of the mainstream health system. The enthusiastic participation from Sydney’s pharmacy community highlights the importance of ongoing education and professional development in this rapidly evolving field.

“Leafio supports pharmacists through these educational events to enhance clinical knowledge and ultimately improve patient outcomes. We look forward to continuing these experiences across Australia.”
