Blooms appoints new CMO

Yvette Costi has been appointed to the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Blooms The Chemist.

“I am proud to be joining a brand that puts the health and wellbeing of its communities first,” said Ms Costi.

“Blooms The Chemist has a clear vision on the role and future of community pharmacy, and I look forward to working with our network of pharmacists and store teams to further strengthen our support of communities around Australia.”

Having previously held senior-level brand and marketing positions in large, global organisations, Ms Costi will bring her expertise to grow the Blooms The Chemist brand, increase its visibility, and streamline marketing operations to benefit the pharmacy owners and store teams.

In this role, Ms Costi will focus on expanding the brand’s marketing team, bringing key skill sets into the business to better support the company’s expanding store network and Pharmacist-owners in growing their businesses.

Ms Costi will work closely with all departments and ensure that strategic marketing initiatives are integrated to promote success from Blooms The Chemist’s Support Office to the store level.

“Yvette is an experienced senior executive who brings an extensive background in brand strategy, performance marketing, and digital transformation to the Blooms The Chemist team,” said Blooms The Chemist’s CEO, Emmanuel Vavoulas.

“Her experience across several global brands in diverse industries reflects a strategic move on Blooms The Chemist’s behalf to future-proof business growth and provide even greater value for our customers and pharmacies.

“With her progressive and people-centric approach, I am confident she will be a strong addition to our senior leadership group.

“I look forward to working with Yvette and the marketing and communications team as we continue to grow and deliver on our brand purpose of creating greater health equity and access for all.”
