Dementia Action Week 19-25 September

Dementia Action Week starts on 19 September (until 25 September) and with this year’s theme being, A little support makes a big difference’, here’s what your pharmacy can do to raise awareness for this debilitating condition.

Dementia Action Week is a national awareness-raising initiative and this year we will continue to raise awareness to increase understanding of dementia and the impact of discrimination.

Discrimination has a significant impact on people living with dementia, their families and carers, and a little support from the community and health care professionals can make a big difference.

This is why the theme this year is: A little support makes a big difference’.

Dementia Action Week campaign activity will include news stories, digital advertising, social media campaigning and television broadcast commercials that include people living with dementia, their families and carers.
