Total retail performance was -6.1 per cent down compared to last week and -1.9 per cent down compared to the same time last year. Overall growth sank into negative territory over the last 12 weeks and based on the trend last year looks to grow 0.1 per cent over the next nine weeks. The top performing category, Natural Medicine was 78.9 per cent greater than the next largest category, Fragrance, last week. The top three brands this week are A2, Panadol and Elevit. At the same time last year, Panadol, Elevit and A2 held the three top positions.
A2 Step 3 has grown 41 per cent compared to the same week last year while Panadol Osteo fell 32 per cent and Elevit fell 49 per cent in the same period. Probiotic is on the rise as cold weather sets in.
