Priceline customers get click and collect option

Priceline Pharmacy has expanded its offering for customers with the launch this month of a new click and collect service.

Priceline customers have long been able to browse and shop online for a wide range of brands and products. Now, customer options have been increased with the addition of click and collect, a hybrid ecommerce model in which people can select and buy items online, and pick them up at their nominated store within hours, rather than having them delivered.

Priceline Pharmacy General Manager Andrew Vidler said click and collect has already been rolled out into selected Victoria stores with additional, gradual deployment to continue across the Priceline network from early December.

“We know that our customers are enjoying many different ways to shop, and the launch of the click and collect functionality has already generated strong interest – without having marketed it yet,” he said.

“The flexibility we’re offering means that, for example, with a new product launch, a customer can order the product from their local store and collect it only two hours later, knowing they have it reserved. Customers receive an email when their order is ready for collection.”

Click and collect is unavailable for customers wanting to order prescription, pharmacist only and pharmacy only scheduled products. While these items are available in a pharmacy, legislation prohibits the sale of them online.

The click and collect offering is expected to be available in more than 250 of Priceline’s 480 stores by the end of March 2020.
